Meet the Horses

Each horse in our herd has their own personality, story, and magic.
Take a moment to get to know the ones who make Magic Valley Horses such a special place.

Liberty the horse

Liberty

Registered as Dispatch N Tradition

Liberty is a chestnut and white American Paint gelding, born in 2002 and is the half brother of Dancer. He’s a little goofy, endlessly curious, and full of personality — always the first to investigate a new object or nuzzle a visitor’s pocket for treats.

He was the very first horse born into my life, the start of something bigger than I could have imagined.
His magic is joy — playful, expressive, and always present.

Dancer the horse

Dancer

Registered as Rio Flashdance

A palomino-and-white American Paint Horse born in 2004, Dancer is calm, wise, and deeply intuitive. Though she carries the quiet authority of a lead mare, she often chooses solitude over leadership — preferring peaceful moments and human companionship to herd politics.

She’s been my heart horse from the very beginning, faithfully carrying me through trails and challenges across California.
Her magic is connection — steady, soulful, and unspoken.

Luna the horse

Luna

Registered as Moondance Maven

Born in September 2024, Luna is a smokey black and white Tobiano American Paint Horse — and the youngest in the herd. Still learning the rhythms of life among horses, she greets the world with curiosity and bright eyes.

She’s already proving herself eager and quick to learn, with the same spark of magic her mother, Dancer, has always carried.
Her magic is potential — unfolding, inquisitive, and full of promise.

Butter the horse

Butter

Registered as Sheza HW Dun It

Butter is a buckskin American Quarter Horse mare, born in 2017. She’s gentle, affectionate, and especially loving toward her two daughters — though she’s not shy about occasionally testing Dancer for the top mare spot in the herd.

Her favorite days are the ones spent running full tilt across the pasture with Roxy and Ember by her side.
Her magic is tenderness — nurturing, graceful, and quietly powerful.

Roxy the horse

Roxy

Registered as Rockn Hollywood Bluz

Roxy is a smoky blue roan American Quarter Horse filly, born in December 2022. She’s everything you’d expect from a teenager in horse form — curious, playful, full of energy, and still finding her confidence in the herd.

With a sweet nature inherited from her mama, Butter, Roxy is just as likely to nuzzle you as she is to break into a spontaneous buck-and-run across the pasture.
Her magic is discovery — spirited, silly, and wide-eyed with wonder.

Ember the horse

Ember

Registered as Ima Redhot Valentine

Born in March 2024, Ember is a bay roan Quarter Horse filly and the baby of Butter’s bunch. She’s bursting with energy and big feelings — eager to explore but often overwhelmed by the unknown.

Nicknamed my wild child, she hates being alone and looks to her mom and sister for reassurance as she navigates the big, exciting world around her.
Her magic is emotion — vibrant, raw, and beautifully real.
